Cybersecurity Marketing & Sales Internship (Unpaid Summer – Student Position) Location: Ashburn, VA | Hybrid (remote with occasional in person requirements) | Internship | Unpaid Hours: 2-4 hrs/day. 15hrs/week. Flexible within state limits (max 8 hrs/day, 40 hrs/week, 7 AM–9 PM). Position Summary We are seeking a high school/college student (minimum age 15) to serve as a
Marketing & Sales Intern . This
unpaid internship offers real-world experience supporting our sales pipeline and outreach efforts. The intern will assist with lead tracking and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system organization, and help prepare marketing collateral and promotional items for upcoming business events.
Key Responsibilities - Input and update prospective client information in the CRM system
- Maintain CRM data integrity by reviewing and organizing lead records
- Recommend improvements to the CRM
- Draft and format emails, follow-ups, and correspondence for sales outreach
- Assist in developing marketing materials such as flyers, one-pagers, and presentation decks
- Help organize, inventory, and prepare promotional giveaways (“flair”) for marketing events and expos
- Participate in weekly team check-ins and receive mentorship from business and marketing professionals
Qualifications - Must be at least 15 years old and eligible to work under Virginia summer youth labor laws
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Interest in business operations, marketing, or cybersecurity
- Comfortable using or learning basic digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, or CRM platforms)
- Able to follow instructions and meet deadlines in a professional setting
- Written communication skills and a creative mindset are a plus
Internship Details - Type: Unpaid
- Location: Ashburn, VA (hybrid)
- Duration: mid-June through mid-August
- Schedule: 2-4 hrs/day. 15hrs/week. Flexible within state limits (max 8 hrs/day, 40 hrs/week, 7 AM–9 PM).
- Legal Requirement: Intern must obtain a Virginia Employment Certificate (Work Permit)prior to onboarding
- Supervision: Interns will be guided by a designated mentor and supported through weekly reviews
