Job Summary
Midwest Express Clinic is seeking a dependable and hands-on Director of Ultrasound to join our growing team. This director-level position leads MEC’s ultrasound program while performing patient scans half of the time. Ensures high-quality imaging, strong workflows, and consistent support to staff and providers. The ideal candidate is highly adaptable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, field-based environment. 

Clinical (50%)

• Perform ultrasound exams across all standard modalities.
• Document accurately in the EMR and maintain quality/competency standards.
• Support providers with imaging questions and model strong patient care.
• Help train and onboard new ultrasound techs in clinic.

Administrative (50%)

• Oversee daily ultrasound operations across all sites.
• Standardize protocols, workflows, and documentation.
• Lead QA/QI reviews and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage scheduling, staffing needs, and onboarding of techs.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, repairs, and vendor coordination.
• Track volumes, performance metrics, and report regularly to leadership.
• Partner with HR, Operations, Compliance, and Provider Leadership.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or equivalent required.
• 3–5+ years clinical experience; leadership preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and multi-site management skills.
• 3+ years Ultrasound experience 

Would handle scheduling of US Techs, KPI reporting, EMR Integration/Implementation..etc.

  Compensation & Benefits:

• The expected compensation range for this position is $110,000 based upon the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
