Location Connecticut | Onsite (Weekly Travel Required; Open to U.S. Residents)
Compensation & Schedule
• Pay: $40/hr
• Schedule: 60 Hour Weekly Guarantee
• Duration: Prep for 3-month assignment (TBD)
• Additional: $50 daily per diem; lodging and flight paid for; single occupancy lodging
ROLE IMPACT
This position supports high-precision part fabrication and repair across aerospace and industrial sectors. Machinists will set up and operate advanced CNC milling machines and EDMs to produce low-volume, high-tolerance components. Candidates must be able to travel to Connecticut and may reside in any U.S. state.
KEY DUTIES
• Set up and operate 3- to 5-axis CNC horizontal and vertical machining centers, depending on facility assignment
• Perform complete machine setups including cleaning, tooling changes, zeroing, tool/inserts loading, and alignments
• Read and execute from sequential operation and setup sheets; interpret imperial (inch-based) prints
• Conduct first part (FPI), first article (FAI), and routine in-process inspections using provided gauges
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Proficient in G&M code for CNC programming and edits
• 3+ years experience setting up and running CNC mills or EDMs
• Must bring documentation for ITAR-compliant facility access
• Willingness to travel to Connecticut
PREFERRED SKILLS
• 5-axis horizontal machining center experience (required for 2 machinists)
• EDM setup and operation experience (required for all 3 EHRO machinists)
• Background in low-lot or one-piece part machining
