JOB ROLE AND SUMMARY
Job Title: Flute Choir Director
Reports to: Program Coordinator
Direct Reports: N/A
Classification: Part-time, Flexible schedule, In-Person, Remote, or Hybrid

We are a growing music school and we are looking to add another awesome teacher to our teaching roster!

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare materials and repertoire for a flute choir ensemble rehearsing for 1 hour once a week.
• Prepare for performances at a wide variety of events and venues.
• Work with composers on new commissions for the ensemble.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and trainings
• Foster an engaging and inspiring environment
• Must be a legal resident of MN

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in music or equivalent experience
• Passion for teaching & commitment to continuing development of teaching skills
• Understanding of multiple musical styles
• Excellent technique and proficiency in performance
• Strong interest in working with diverse socioeconomic groups
• Knowledge of cultural competency and ability to adapt to ensure inclusive participation

COMPENSATION

• $1600-2100 Stipend
• Employee status w/ taxes withheld
