Senior Human Resources Manager Location San Diego, CA :

: We are looking for a Senior Human Resources Manager to maintain the daily functions of the Human Resources department.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Is familiar with and current on California labor and employment laws.
• Manage employee grievances and investigations, including sensitive matters such as harassment or discrimination.
• Process Workers Compensation Claims.
• Process Notices for Unemployment Claims.
• Administer Benefits Programs.
• Maintain employee and labor relations with staff.
• Review, track, and document compliance with required training curriculum, continuing education, and work assessments.
• Coordinate with Payroll department to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including compensation, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
• Coordinate with Payroll department to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires orientation, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
• Provide support to staff regarding various topics such as leaves, compensation, benefits, etc.
• Further develop and update employee handbook and implement new policies as needed.
• Maintain employee files and confidential records in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Coordinate staff recruitment, including placing Ads, initial screenings, interviews, reference checks, background checks.
• Coordinate with Workforce development programs.
• Prepare reports measuring HR metrics such as onboarding duration and staff turnover rates.
• Organize and track routine employee performance reviews.
• Assist in other company initiatives as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
• 5+ years' experience working in a similar role
• SHRM or PHR Certification
• Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
• Thorough knowledge of California employment-related laws and regulations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
