Department Description and responsibilities
DEME's QHSE department is seeking two qualified and experienced QHSE Offshore HSE Medics to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) advice and guidance, attending and supporting toolbox talks, reviewing and preparing HSE documents, carrying out inspections, audits, and investigations, and performing medic duties.
Primary Tasks and responsibilities
-Provide HSE Advice & Guidance: Offer expert advice and guidance on health, safety, and environmental matters to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
-Support Toolbox Talks: Attend and support toolbox talks to promote safety awareness and best practices among the workforce.
-Review & Prepare HSE Documents: Review, prepare, and update HSE documents, including risk assessments, safety plans, and incident reports.
-Conduct Inspections & Audits: Carry out regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to HSE standards and identify areas for improvement.
-Investigate Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
-Perform Medic Duties: Provide medical support and emergency care to personnel on-site, including first aid and treatment of injuries.
Secondary Tasks and responsibilities
-Proven experience in a similar HSE role, preferably in an offshore environment.
-Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
-Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

-Diploma or UK/ European equivalent
-NEBOSH general
-STCW95 sea survival
