PA (Personal Assistant) Location Mill Valley, CA :

Job Title: Personal Assistant / 1:1 Support for a Young Child Location: Marin County, CA Compensation: $40/hour | Approximately 12 hours per week Start Date: On or around June 1, 2025 (pending DDS background clearance)

About the Role: A warm and welcoming family in Marin County is seeking a Personal Assistant/1:1 Support person to support their preschool-aged child with developmental needs. The right candidate will be caring, reliable, and experienced in working with young children. This position includes both in-home support and transportation to and from local activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support during daily routines, structured play, and outings
• Encourage communication, motor development, and adaptive living skills
• Safely transport the child to and from community-based activities (e.g., therapy, recreation, classes)
• Assist with transitions, toileting, hygiene, and general safety
• Engage in music, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and other age-appropriate activities
• Collaborate with the family and other support providers to help achieve developmental goals
• Maintain clear and respectful communication with the family

Requirements:

• Experience working with children in early childhood, special education, behavioral support, or a similar field
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record
• Comfortable with supporting basic hygiene and toileting
• Ability to pass a Department of Developmental Services (DDS) background check
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow family routines and guidance
• Active, playful, and comfortable engaging in physical activities

Preferred Qualities:

• Enjoys singing, dancing, and creative play
• Open to outdoor activities such as going to the park or beach
• Willing to learn and collaborate with therapists and family members
• Familiarity with speech, occupational therapy, or ABA practices is a plus
• Bilingual abilities are welcome but not required

Schedule: Approximately 12 hours per week with some flexibility. The schedule will be coordinated with the family based on activity times and availability.
