Sushi Nakazawa – Join Our Team in Los Angeles

Location: Los Angeles, CA (on-site)
Pay Range: $20 – $25 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time (Non-exempt, hourly)

About the Role

We’re seeking a warm, organized, and professional Maitre D to be the first impression for our guests and the heartbeat of our front-of-house team. The Host oversees reservations, guest communications, and the seamless flow of service throughout each shift.

You will:

• Greet and welcome guests with grace and hospitality, ensuring each guest feels recognized and valued
• Manage reservations and seating assignments to maximize service efficiency and guest experience
• Communicate clearly with the service and kitchen teams about VIPs, special requests, and guest preferences
• Maintain the reception and dining areas to Sushi Nakazawa’s standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Provide accurate information about the restaurant, menu, and policies to guests and team members
• Support the management team in coordinating daily operations and guest communications

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of experience as a Host or Reservationist in fine dining or a similar high-caliber concept
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable using reservation and POS systems (e.g., Resy, OpenTable, Upserve)
• Calm and professional demeanor under pressure
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
• A team-oriented spirit and commitment to creating memorable guest experiences
