We are seeking a Board-Certified Trauma Surgery Physician for an exciting locums opportunity in Hartford, Connecticut.
Schedule:
Weekday Shifts: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Night Shifts: Three weekday nights (Monday – Friday), 4:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekend Shifts: Two weekend shifts per month, 7:00 AM Saturday – 7:00 AM Sunday (24-hour shifts)
Responsibilities:
Perform trauma surgery on adult and geriatric patients, including:
Penetrating trauma cases
Blunt trauma cases
Chest tube insertion
Laparoscopic procedures, such as:
Appendectomy
Cholecystectomy
Provide high-quality trauma care in a fast-paced, high-volume trauma center.
Participate in on-call coverage for three nights per week and weekend coverage as outlined.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
Board Certification in Trauma Surgery
Fellowship Training in Trauma Surgery (required)
Active Connecticut Medical License
DEA Registration
ACLS Certification
Experience with trauma surgery, including adult, geriatric, penetrating, and blunt trauma
Proficiency in chest tube insertion and laparoscopic procedures (Appendectomy and Cholecystectomy)
