Job Description

Bull Island Brewing Company is Hampton’s oldest waterfront brewery, known for its handcrafted beers, welcoming atmosphere, and commitment to great service. In addition to our house-made brews, we offer a selection of wine, cider, and liquor to cater to all tastes. Our kitchen serves delicious food that complements our craft beverages, creating an exceptional experience for our guests.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee kitchen operations. The ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and reliable , with a passion for food and hospitality. This role requires strong leadership, time management, and organizational skills to ensure the kitchen runs efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and food service staff.
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control of ingredients and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Adjust schedules to optimize efficiency and meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and refine menu offerings.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food service or kitchen management.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices (ServSafe Manager's certification preferred).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
