Job Summary:
SAFCO is a company in the automotive finance industry, looking for a Business/Data Analyst to support operations development. The role involves operational reporting, data analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance decision-making and improve processes.
Responsibilities:
• Operational reporting: Build, maintain, and deliver reports for internal teams to support daily operational needs.
• Data analysis: Analyze trends in originations, credit quality, loan performance, payment processing, collections activity, customer service metrics, and financial trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Data queries: Write and refine SQL queries to extract data from company systems.
• Dashboard development: Assist in building dashboards and visualizations to make data accessible and actionable for managers.
• Process documentation: Document reporting processes and data definitions to ensure consistency and accuracy across the organization.
• Collaboration: Work with operational teams to understand their data needs and deliver timely, useful insights.
• Ad hoc support: Provide data and analysis for special projects, audits, or leadership initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Proficient in Excel functions and formulas (vlookups, sumifs, pivot tables, if-then statements)
• Intermediate SQL and/or Python skills
• Ability to explain data findings clearly to non-technical audiences
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple reporting tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, finance, accounting, engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a related field
