Job Title: Host
Job Summary:
We are seeking a welcoming and reliable Host/Hostess to join our team. The Host will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. This role includes greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and waitlists, and assisting with overall dining room flow. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a friendly and outgoing personality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly and promptly upon arrival.
Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating assignments to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries about reservations, hours, and menu items.
Communicate effectively with servers and management to maintain smooth service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entryway, and lobby areas.
Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Host/Hostess or in a customer service role (preferred but not required).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Friendly, professional, and welcoming demeanor.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, and reach as needed.
