**The position REQUIRES an ACTIVE TOP SECRET/SCI Clearance with Polygraph** SCDIT is seeking a skilled
Hardware Technician 2 (HW2) and
Hardware Technician 3 (HW3) with practical experience in hardware installation, repair, and maintenance to join our dynamic and growing team. The Hardware Technicians will support a key contract that supports a large Intelligence Community agency.
Description : The Hardware Technicians will maintain, repair, and upgrade computer hardware and peripherals. This includes tasks like installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing devices, as well as providing support to end-users. The technician also manages inventory and ensures systems operate efficiently.
Responsibilities : Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Setting up and configuring computers, servers, and other hardware devices, including peripherals like printers and scanners.
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware issues, replacing faulty components, and ensuring systems are back online.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, inspecting, and upgrading hardware components.
- Providing technical assistance to users, addressing questions, and resolving hardware-related problems.
- Maintaining accurate records of hardware assets, including tracking inventory levels and ordering new components.
- Monitoring system performance and providing reports on hardware health and potential issues.
- Creating and updating documentation for hardware procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations.
Requirements : - Active TOP SECRET/SCI with Polygraph Security Clearance
- HW2: A minimum of two (2) years’ practical experience in hardware installation, repair, and maintenance.
- HW3: A minimum of three (3) years’ Practical experience in hardware installation, repair, and maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent with hands-on practical experience through internships, apprenticeships, or entry level IT role.
- An associate’s degree in computer engineering, information technology, or related field is preferred.
- HW3: A CompTIA IT Fundamentals certification is desired.

Salary Range: $42,000 - $95,000
