English Teacher | US Common Core English Teacher | Teach in Ras Al Khaimah

My client is an American Common Core school located in the beautiful and growing Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.  Ras Al Khaimah Gives you a perfect work life balance as there are many things to do once school is finished.  The students are mainly from Emirati families where English is not the first language.  if you have experience of working in the Middle East or the GCC then it would be an advantage to your application.

The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering AP English at middle and high school and we'll have an official AP training certificate with experience of working with non native speakers of English.

Salary Package

• TAX-FREE salary up to 14,000 AED per month (about £3200 per month -
• FREE single 1 bedrroom about 7 minutes’ drive from the school which is fully furnished (5 mins walk to supermarket) - Housing allowance of 2000k is an option (with no utility allowance)

The school has state of the art facilities and uses technology to enhance students learning. As a teacher joining this school you will also be required to teach online and so teachers must be Tech Savvy and ideally hae experience of using MS Teams, MS Office Suite and Interactive whiteboards.

Requirements To Apply

• B.Ed in English or Bachelors degree in English or a related English subject
• A valid state teaching license in English Education or PGCE in English with QTS
• AP Certification is highly advantageous
• A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience
• Qualified from a recognised university
• EXCELLENT command of written and spoken English
• Up to date with modern pedagogy
• Experience of the USA Common Core is highly beneficial
• Able to adapt to the teaching culture in the United Arab Emirates
• Must have experience to teach online if needed

Teachers that do not have experience of the USA Common Core are welcome to apply, as training will be provided and the school already has teachers from the USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.  Candidates from other countries will need an IELTS level 7 academic to be considered as per the schools requirements.

Please note: Due to the housing offered, this role is suitable for single candidates. As per the rules of the United Arab Emirates, only female candidates can apply, as this is an all-girls school.

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:

A salary from 10000 up to 14000   AED (UAE Dirham)per month based on experience and qualification, TAX FREE
