Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team in Utica, New York. This contract to permanent position involves managing billing processes with precision and efficiency for agency programs. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and in-depth knowledge of billing procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities: - Process billing transactions accurately and efficiently for agency programs. - Review and analyze billing reports to identify and correct discrepancies. - Prepare and maintain financial reports to support monthly accounting procedures. - Ensure compliance with internal and external billing requirements. - Assist in the maintenance and functionality of computerized billing systems. - Generate and distribute billing statements to appropriate parties. - Monitor collections and follow up on outstanding payments. - Collaborate with team members to address and resolve billing issues. - Support the implementation of best practices within the billing department. Requirements - Proven experience with billing functions and systems. - Strong understanding of billing collection processes. - Proficiency in generating and managing billing statements. - Familiarity with computerized billing systems and related software. - Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. - Effective communication and problem-solving abilities. - Knowledge of compliance standards related to billing processes.
