Job Title: Benefits Specialist

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Benefits Specialist to join our client to support the timely and accurate resolution of benefits-related inquiries across multiple business areas. This temporary, onsite role is based in Philadelphia, PA and plays a key role in ensuring benefit configurations and claim rules are clearly understood and consistently applied. The Benefits Specialist partners with internal teams to research complex issues, interpret benefit setups, and deliver clear, professional responses for both internal stakeholders and high-visibility customers. This position contributes directly to service quality, operational alignment, and customer satisfaction.

Compensation:
$25–$28/hour

Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, normal business hours (37.5-hour work week)

Key Responsibilities of the Benefits Specialist:

• Serve as a central point of coordination for benefits-related tickets and escalations, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive accurate resolution.
• Review and manage benefit incidents across multiple lines of business and market segments, ensuring alignment with internal service-level expectations.
• Conduct detailed research across benefits, product, and client configuration systems to validate setup and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare clear, well-documented written responses that can be shared with senior leaders and high-profile customers.
• Facilitate collaborative discussions between departments to ensure shared understanding of benefit rules and configuration decisions.

Qualifications and Skills for the Benefits Specialist:

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, though equivalent professional experience will be considered.
• Several years of experience supporting benefits administration or health insurance operations, including strong exposure to claims processing.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex information and translate findings into clear, actionable communication for varied audiences.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort navigating multiple systems and applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and service-focused approach.
