JOB SUMMARY
Application Developers are integral members of the software development team, responsible for the analysis, design, development, documentation, testing, and support of enterprise software solutions. Depending on experience and level, developers may also lead projects, mentor junior staff, and contribute to strategic initiatives.

  • Mentoring, Leadership, or Project Oversight (as applicable): 0–20%
  • Client Interaction & Support (as applicable): 0–15%
EXPECTED WORK AND PERFORMANCE (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
  • Design, develop, document, and test business logic, user interfaces, database interactions, and system integrations.
  • Participate in or lead design sessions and produce technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to gather requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and adherence to development standards.
  • Provide accurate status updates and escalate issues as needed.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to training and onboarding (for senior levels).
  • Participate in performance tuning, deployment, and support activities.
  • Support sales and customer engagement efforts through demos or technical input (for senior/lead levels).
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field required.
  • Varying levels of experience in full software development lifecycle depending on role level:
    • Entry-level: Internship or academic project experience.
    • Mid-level: 1–3 years of professional experience.
    • Senior/Lead: 3–5+ years of experience with leadership or mentoring responsibilities.
  • Completion of ARGO’s internal training tracks (Basic, Advanced, Installation & Operations) as applicable by level.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming and modern development practices.
  • Experience with multi-tier architecture, relational databases, and web technologies (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, XML).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and produce technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with software development tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • For senior levels: experience in mentoring, code reviews, and project leadership.
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE
  • Experience with enterprise software solutions.
  • Exposure to performance tuning, system integration, and deployment processes.
  • Knowledge of software quality assurance practices and tools.
  • Participation in cross-functional roles such as Sales Support, Product Development, or Customer Care.
ATTENDANCE/WORK LOCATION
The position is based in our Richardson, TX or Memphis, TN office. Daily physical presence in the office is required for interaction with co-workers, attending meetings, and for collaboration on projects.
